Russian missile strike on Ukraine apartments
On Sunday, the death toll from a Russian missile strike in the southeastern city of Dnipro rose to 30, as first responders searched the rubble of an apartment building for survivors and bodies. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday that at least 73 people were injured when explosions ripped through all nine floors of the building. "Dozens of people, injured and traumatized, could have been saved," Zelenskyy said. "Among them are children, with the youngest girl being three years old." By Sunday afternoon, 39 people had been rescued, and the Dnipro city government reported 43 people missing.According to Zelenskyy, more than 20 of the 30 missiles launched against Ukrainian targets were shot down.
